Indian economy to rise socially

Posted by Filed Under business & economy news with No Comments

The financial market of India is still grooving to the tunes of the recession leftovers. According the latest financial market news, India has seen a steep growth in the recent time defying all the turbulence caused by the economic slowdown. Touching the mark of US$ 1.04 trillion, India’s market capitalization has gained the whopping ninth position in the entire world.

The overall magic has occurred due to the optimistic government reforms and continuity in policies which have given the Indian stock market a great boost. With this, the Indian economy is all set to witness a turn-around within then next six to nine months and as the breaking news indicate the financial world is abuzz with the latest in the Indian capital market reforms. This indicates that Indian companies shall see a huge rise in money nurtured from the IPOs in the fiscal year 2010. Moreover, as the economic experts indicate that the bulk liquidity that has flooded into the economic system is central banks driven and this same liquidity finds its way into the stock markets too.

India news have also enlightened the fact that the moment world economy shall be bottomed out, the entire country’s economy will witness the haunting shadow of rising energy prices which according to economic experts is the greatest challenge. Besides, the country shall also be victimized with higher inflation rates. If things are looked and observed closely, then the scenario appears crystal clear; after ten years or so, food and fresh water would be the major problems demanding care and concern, lack of which shall devote to decrease in the social stability. It is up to the government to work to improve and manage the conditions accordingly and thus, avoid the mismanagement of resources in the nearing future. A keen look at the economic growth of developed European nations, US and Japan also pops up evident questions as to what exactly will drive stability in the economic growth. Vitally, a consistent economic growth goes hand in hand with the private consumption expenditure, and the two grow simultaneously; as the latter shall rise, the former would follow.

Why Can’t All Health News Be Healthy?

Posted by Filed Under health news with No Comments

Alcohol may fight rheumatoid arthritis – healthy news. A study published in the journal Rheumatology asked 873 people with RA and 1,000 people without it to estimate how many days in the past month they’d had at least 1 drink. Those who drank on more than 10 days were less likely to have RA or to have less severe symptoms than those who didn’t drink. Researchers attribute this to alcohol reducing immune activity. Although 1.3 million adult Americans experience their immune system attacking their joints, those for whom alcohol isn’t contraindicated might not have to have “joint possession” of the disease.

Calcium can increase heart attack risk – unhealthy news. In a study published in the journal BMJ nearly 12,000 people – mostly women, average age 72 – were followed for about 4 years. Approximately 2.7% of those taking calcium had heart attacks compared with 2.2% of those taking placebos. Translated that means older people who take at least 500 mg of calcium daily are 30% likelier to have a heart attack than those who don’t take calcium. Supposedly, the modest benefit in building bone density and reducing bone fractures may not be worth the risk. One’s doctor should be consulted – no bones about it.

A new version of CPR – healthy news. The American Heart Association and the American Red Cross approve cardiopulmonary resuscitation using only rapid chest compressions – no rescue breathing. Chest compressions are thought to be more important because they circulate blood containing residual oxygen. In 2 studies 3,200 victims of cardiac arrest were randomly assigned conventional CPR or the hands-on version. In both studies the new version was as effective: 11%-12.5% in one study and 7%-8.1% in the other. Considering 60% of cardiac arrests are witnessed, it’s important to know “lip service” no longer has to be paid to CPR.

Food poisoning can be catered – unhealthy news. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that 76 million Americans get food poisoning yearly and 5,000 of those people die from it. The report also showed that food borne illnesses traced to caterers outnumber those traced to restaurants or home cooking. A breakdown of the numbers showed 36 illnesses per catering outbreak compared with 13 illnesses per restaurant or home cooking outbreak. Although the increased number of people affected by 1 catering event increases the likelihood of it being reported, it can still leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The Bloomberg New Energy Finance reports that renewable energy project investments could go up to $200 billion in the year 2030.  The study was formulated from two years of developing a model.  The study states that $90 billion was poured into the sector in 2009 and that by 2020; it will reach $150 billion.

The group figured out that the current renewable energy share of 13 percent in the world’s installed power generation will increase to 22 percent in 2020 because of investments.

Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s prediction for 200 countries and regions globally is that the renewable energy percentage will reach 31 percent by 2030, if current procedure goals are reached.  Bloomberg New Energy Finance carbon market research director Gay Turner says there are more chances of boosting the renewable energy by 2030 if governments will take the climate change threat seriously.

According to the report, onshore wind projects will take the bulk of the annual global expenses for renewable energy.  The renewable energy sectors that will grow the most are onshore wind and solar photovoltaic markets, followed by biomass technologies, while hydropower production is reported to be the sector that will grow the least. Breaking Business News: America Poised For Manufacturing Resurgence?

Posted by Filed Under business & economy news with No Comments

As we stumble through repairing this mess called a financial system, I find myself yearning for the days of big factories billowing smoke all over the countryside. Back when a factory whistle and the smell of something burning were as intertwined into America’s fiber as our Levis. Now, I am having this halcyon moment because the days of cheap jeans and burning cinders are over; replaced by $200 Euro-trash designer jeans and anything that got our hands dirty was shipped off to India or China.

However, this isn’t going to be another conversation about Wall Street or Washington because, quite frankly, I just don’t have it in me. This is more about me sticking my tongue out at the financial markets in a way that you would if you were 3. I send a raspberry to Wall Street to show my displeasure with their behavior and to make them aware that we are tired of all the spin doctoring and hype. Times up boys, in the words of Michael Corleone; you’re out Tom!

That’s right, it’s time this country remembers that it was founded by people who sweat for a living! That we’re not just a country that makes its collective living shorting stocks, and maybe, just maybe, we should climb into the way-back machine and start making things again! Great companies like Dial and ITT, once Goliaths, got crushed under their own weight. Others, like GE, adapted and moved into other industries that provided better liquidity and higher margins.

But now is as good a time as there’s going to be for a manufacturing resurgence in this country. Lower shipping costs, higher manufacturing standards, and good old American know-how can once again prosper as we build a foundation around a manufacturing sector that is smarter and leaner than days gone by. Not to mention, given our current financial condition, it can’t be as risky making refrigerators as it is trading Chinese short-term rice derivatives on margin (I made that up). Don’t get me wrong, I am certainly not anticipating a land grab throughout Middle America to raise smokestacks and stoke the fires that once made this country great.

But maybe we can develop a more rational formula for what we consider an acceptable return from the companies we invest in. In other words, we promise to accept a few percentage points less if they promise not to poison our drinking water to save margins since at the end of the day, we are ALL responsible for this mess, from Main Street to Wall Street.

Don’t agree? Let’s review. From our never ending quest to get the lowest possible prices on everything we buy to getting the highest return in our 401k’s to having the whitest whites and the softest sheets, we force companies to cut corners in order to provide their customers, investors, and employees the results they demand. Do you think we as consumers have any responsibility in this mess? What would you do to clean up Wall Street?

Economy News: Eu Will Pay Your Holiday, After Now Are Part Of ‘human Rights’

Posted by Filed Under business & economy news with No Comments

Tired after a hard year working? If you’re European you can have your holidays paid by EU.

I was checking blogosphere, looking for news of the economy and finance world, when I found MISH’S Global Economic Trend Analysis blog and found that European Union will subside a percentage of holidays.

The idea, suggested by Antonio Tajani (appointed by Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian PM), is that the days when holidays was a luxury, are no longer. ‘Holidays are a Human Right’, said Brussels. And according with that, they’ll be subsided and our Nordic fellows will came to our Mediterranean seas in summer, and we’ll enjoy of a snowed Iceland or a Finnish sauna (If Eyjafjallajökull allows it)

Shocked as almost everyone reading this, I decided to do a little research about the subject. As it turns out, this programme (started by Spain, years ago) will be piloted until 2013 and then, will be in full operation. Will be aimed to pensioners and anyone over 65 years, young people (between 18-25 yr), families facing ‘difficult social, financial or personal’ circumstances and disabled people (accompanied by one person).

Northern Europeans will be encouraged to visit southern Europe and vice versa. How participants, and how much have not yet decided, but it’s expected that the trip will be subsidized about 30% of the cost.

As I stated before, this measure isn’t a new idea, as Spain subsidized European residents over 55 years old, to power the winter off-season (the weaker one). Spain calculated that for every €1 spent in help, gained €1’6 fro it’s resorts.

Will this be an bottomless well for our money, or a way to decrease unemployment and increase tourism? Only time will say. The economist opinion, today, isn’t unanimous in one way or another, but right now there isn’t room for failed experiments.
